Having been in this position before I can relate to what you are saying. Drupal does have the flexibility, but for blogging there is nothing (in my opinion) that matches wordpress.

@ Ber - If you are looking for 'solid arguments' simply give the latest version of wordpress a go. The user interface really is awesome. When I come to write a blog post its such a pleasure to boot up the wordpress interface, check my dashboard for recent comments etc. The auto updater/installer also is a joy and it makes maintenance of my blogs next to nothing.

It really is a testament to the open source model as WP is nicer and has far more optional modules than any piece of software that I pay for.

"Never fix something that "Never fix something that ain't broken" is my advice, here. Is anything broken? And if so: is that due to a quirck, bug or (lack of) feature in Drupal or one of the modules?
In general: you don't give any solid arguments, besides Drupal being overkill. That, however seems a weird argument, since that only counts for setting up and getting initial work done. You won't see that overkill in dayly use AFAIKS.

On the other hand: I do agree that getting the perfect tool for the job is always the best thing to do. "When you are a hammer, every problem looks like a nail".

I wouldn't move unless i was I wouldn't move unless i was sure of the outcome.
Firstly, the process - I'm 99% sure of all the bits. Right now it is probably as painless as it will get, and I've got a great theme to work with in Wordpress.

Secondly, I've got experience with Wordpress on other sites - I'm not contemplating the move just because, rather it's really hard to keep up with Drupal's frequent security updates and modules - there is no auto updater module either.

I'm still not sold on the idea, but I'm contemplating it!
