Creston CSA Tour

in Kootenays, Urban Farming

Supporting farmers in producing food is pretty tough when you only shop at a chain supermarket. Our family recently bought into a Grain CSA out of the Creston Valley, about an hour and a half from home.

This weekend we’ve got a tour of a couple of the farms, a meet and greet with the farmers, and a tour of an organic dairy. We’re looking forward to the community side of the CSA, meeting new people that share a common goal – to support farmers and local food production in the Kootenays!

I’ll post some photos of the event on Sunday or Monday.
