Earth Hour 2010 – Castlegar City Hall

by Mike Thomas on March 28, 2010

in Sustainability

“All residents are asked to turn off indoor and outdoor lights – and, ideally, all items requiring electricity – for an hour on the evening of March 27, between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.” – http://ow.ly/1rSg1 – But apparently City Hall gains an exemption?

How sad … so the enduring truth of the ‘giggling & tittering’ at City Council around “Green” issues … is now demonstrated again, for the Public Record.

They just don’t ‘get it’… even the ‘tokenism & symbolism’ of Earth Hour.

Whatever happened to Leadership?

There are those who say that the “Only One Real Sin is … Hypocrisy ” … well , ‘Hypocrisy’ is apparently alive and well in Castlegar political circles.

What a shame.
